Spam Bully offers many excellent features as an anti-spam system. Configured correctly, it can get rid of unwanted email from your indox almost entirely. It is quite an advanced piece of software and takes a while to get the hang of, but overall we felt that it is one of the best offerings out there for spam removal.
Spam Bully uses a variety of detection mechanisms which together give good results. It integrates well with the standard mail clients such as Outlook, Windows Mail and Outlook Express. Unfortunately it does not currently support IMAP accounts in Outlook Express, however.
Other features include - configuration allowing you to send challenge messages to possible spammers to confirm their status. It can also be set to bounce spam back to the sender and access their site with retributive consequences. It works well with all versions of Windows including Vista, and sports efficient anti-spam and anti-phishing plugins which can help get rid of nearly all the spam that would normally enter your inbox.
Technically it makes use of the following methods of spam prevention: approved/banned senders, Bayesian spam filtering, DNS blacklist lookup, and challenging unknown senders.
All in all its an effective piece of software, and good value for money.
