Despite the unprecedented proliferation of Personal Computer maintenance software upon the world wide web, particularly those items which claim to specialise in the adware variety of electronic annoyances, we are delighted to be able to inform the ardent reader of this Review22 discourse that the product commonly ascribed the nomenclature equivalent to 'RegistrySmart' is indeed one of those which is likely to enhance one's opinion of such software by means of its exorbitant usefulness and aptness to the tasks for which its originators decided to initiate its transition from non-existence into its current and opposite state.

If you are plagued by those unsightly and vulgar rectangular nuisances to which the common mob ascribe the name 'popups', then this product is jolly well for you. So what are you waiting for?

You're probably not taking this review seriously now, but by Jove you ought to be.... So go and buy it right now... I'm watching you.

ParetoLogic Privacy ControlsWe've all been there - you've got something on your PC that you don't really want anyone to know about? The truth is that its very difficult to entirely get rid of files / information on your PC. If you delete files via the recycle bin, they might appear to be gone without a trace but they are still on your hard drive, waiting for some unscrupulous sneak to come along and dig them out. Browser caching presents an even bigger danger, with information and web pages downloaded often being stored in many separate locations by toolbars, add-ons etc. Often even an expert computer user can get caught out, and the novice computer user who downloads incriminating or embarrasing material is almost certain to get caught out.

ParetoLogic Privacy Controls is a very useful product for getting rid of this kind of sensitive information. It scans your disks (the hidden parts too), your browser cache, form data cache and anywhere else where sensitive data can potentially be stored. A comprehensive list of materials is displayed, and you can easily choose to eliminate either individual items, or everything if you prefer.

It is a good piece of software, professional like all of ParetoLogic's offerings, and giving a good overall user experience. It is easy to install, and has a clear, easy to navigate interface. Try it, you might be surprised what you find lying around on your PC!

Download is available via the vendor's website (use the download link at the top)
